“I have only the vaguest memory of a life before fear. Every morning when I wake up there is one blissful second before I took around the room and remember my daily terrors.” ― Lena Dunham
There are those things that you’re low-key terrified will happen, those fears you don’t give voice to – that the bridge you ply everyday will collapse, that a stranger will randomly push you in front of a car, that someone is watching you through your webcam… You’re not alone. Fears are normal; fear is after all a survival mechanism. But irrational fears, not so much – these are the unhealthy terrors that have no basis in fact or reality.
Dean Koontz says that irrational fears feed on themselves and get bigger while this article says the cure to irrational fears is more information… but what’s the fun in that?
We’d have no Voice Notes if you went ahead to fix your life.
In this episode, we’re all sharing those fears that just. don’t. make. sense. Enjoy!
Super thank you to everyone who sent in a voice note; we were glad you could share these deep dark fears with us!
