Between the constant ringing and beeping of my phone, endless hooting and honking sounds from cars on the street, the nervousness of impending deadlines, and my own all-over-the-place thoughts, this world can get really noisy. Really very, thoroughly, as a matter of fact, over the top noisy!

Many times I think about physically escaping the city with all of it’s many distractions, but, responsibilities. This is why I will forever be grateful for music. With the right headphones and the perfect playlist, I can be lost in my own world; somewhere by the lake watching ducks. It is one of such playlists I’m sharing with you today so you too can plug in and escape.

I confess, this may not your typical Monday playlist, but if you, like me, have had a crazy busy weekend and are wishing for an escape, then I’ve rounded up a combination of sounds that are sure to bring a little peace and quiet into the otherwise busyness of a work week. It’s perfect, if I do say so myself.

When you need to take a break, go ahead, plug in, press play, close your eyes, and don’t forget to breathe…
