For as long as I can remember, I’ve had the case of the Wanderlust, but Jason Mraz’s The World as I See It, took my wanderlust-ing to a whole other level. I remember the first time I heard a version that he’d performed live. I remember it like it was yesterday, how he talked excitedly about some of his favorite places in the world. I remember it for the goosebumps I had for minutes after the song ended. Noël Alvarenga succeeds in replicating that same feeling with every one of his photos I come across. I mean, you know it’s real when I begin to compare photography to Jason Mraz (who everyone knows I am absolutely in love with).

Whatever the image he has captured, Noël has a way of making the world really come alive before you. Never mind that the news is full of evidence to the contrary, you see, in that moment as you look at his work, how beautiful – remarkable – the world really is.
So you might want to get on a plane, or in a car, or a train, a boat, a bike, and explore that beauty. But many times, that exploring will begin in your own backyard.

I live my life with my camera by my side, always ready to capture life as it unfolds. From the posed to the candid instant moments, I’d love to be the one to capture them all for you, me, and for everyone we know.

Viewing Noël’s photography is like being in a dream – a dream of a dream. See…

I had a really hard time selecting images for this post (which would explain why it has been sitting in my drafts for longer than it was supposed to), I was literally spoiled for choice. You should check out his website (linked above) and his Instagram page which is also awesome for finding new music (double win!!).
