Haneefah Adam is a medical scientist, lifestyle blogger and enthusiast. Whatever she’s doing, be it creating art from drops of Coca-Cola and Nigerian food or doing a DIY headboard or eyeliner(!) or dressing up her Hijarbie, Haneefah excels and exudes such inspiring creativity. I wonder where she finds the time or headspace!
I first discovered Haneefah through her fashion, she’s influencing fellow muslimahs through her fashionable modest clothing. And then I found out what a splendid artist she is. She’s gotten some fame recently through the Hijarbie Instagram page (she makes the clothes herself!) and via her entries for the Samsung/Re.Le Tech Meets Art competition, but this woman isn’t stopping yet – she is in the process of creating her own clothing brand, Hanie Collection: “Nigeria modest lifestyle for the contemporary woman”.
Below are some of Haneefah’s creations: From the Coca-cola art to the Nigerian food art made with Ogbono, Zobo, Jollof rice, fried plantain and inspired by Fela and John Boyega amongst others. (She’s also an avid food blogger!)
…when she’s not making her clothes and being a fabulous fashionista.
This Hijarbie though – I’m trying not to be mad that a doll dresses way cooler than me and all my friends combined. Yes, Hanie makes these clothes – if that’s not enough to get you pining for her collection, what will?
