I’m an architect; Kov is an art curator. So, you can imagine the amount of time we spend gushing over well-designed lofts. Our collective dream is to live in rad lofts in New York. Seeing that hasn’t quite come together yet, we make do with drooling over the million photos we find on the generous internet.
It was seeing this Tribeca Loft by Andrew Franz Architect that inspired this post. No, just look at it. I particularly love the glassed-in/out garden. It’s like having your own little conservatory.
This next one has to be my favourite! Of all time! Beautiful beautiful detailed loft in Brazil. It’s all those details! The ‘carriage’ table.. That tiny shelf that juts out to accommodate the lamp at the stairs.. All the little knick knacks make up this space; you can tell a whole lot of thought went into it. Feast on more photos here.
Look at all this wood in this San Francisco loft!
And then this renovation..
Give me bookshelves and books.. And more bookshelves. You can guess why I love this loft space in Camden by Craft Design.
Give me wood. And bookshelves, of course. And exposed ceilings. And cool colours. Or warm colours. Rustic. Or chic. Or minimalist. Just give me loft.
Sigh. I’m off to imagine myself snuggled in one of these places. Let me know if there are any cool loft designs you’ve seen. Or maybe you live in one (I hate you), show us photos on Twitter.
Enjoy the long weekend!
