It is a truth universally acknowledged, that dire as this world is sometimes made out to be, there are quite a number of incredibly creative and talented people doing impossibly amazing things; therein lies its beauty. My heart does a little dance every time I come across someone using their gift to add a little beauty to the world. There’s so much creative energy in the world and it’s a privilege to watch the channeling of some of that energy into whatever craft a creator chooses. Even more is the privilege of sharing some of these finds with you. And that’s what Nik-Nak is for, no? ūüėÄ One of such finds is London-based music selector, Hannah Faith.

Hannah Faith is a London-based music selector who began just over a year ago by experimenting with mixing and blending the songs she came across on the internet. The now 21 year-old quickly began gaining attention online following her first release, entitled BLOWN; Which featured tracks from such talented producers as Lakim, Ta-ku, J-Louis, and a handful of carefully curated musicians.

I feel like I have been living under a rock as I only recently came across the eclectic mixes and DJ sets Hannah Faith has become popular for, and my goodness, I am definitely positively gobsmacked. There’s something about Hannah’s craft that I find very refreshing. Perhaps, it is how palpable her love for music feels as you listen, mix after mix.

Music is my first love, always will be. It is pure, it is universal and it has the power to influence. Through my mixes and through my shows I want listeners to feel touched by the vibrations I put out… My mixes reflect my mood, it is my journey that I want to share with you, I am so particular with the sounds I chose and the order in which I want my track list to go. I want you to feel the way I felt when I heard the selected tracks for the first time, each wave, each kick, each snare. I want you to feel¬†music from a producer’s heart.

Little wonder she’s working towards being an Art Director. I think the images on her page are too beautiful not to share. So here, a few of my favorites… image image image image image image image image image image image image image If you, like me, are feeling a little late to the party, here’s a mix from the uber talented young lady to help remedy that. There’s more on her SoundCloud and Website. Find her on Instagram too. (All images are from Hannah’s website linked above). Kov.
